I think we were both sent away for a while. Back home, maybe? Sometimes people remember, but I don't. I just got back last night, but Bruce is still out, [without pause,] so please let me know if he turns up on your end.
[He falls quiet for a minute - Clint told Bruce about him vanishing after Sokovia, it was kind of necessary to explain why he hadn't been calling his name with the rest of his team's when he'd arrived, but he doesn't know if Bruce told Betty. Bruce disappearing is a habit at this point, really, but Betty's been left behind. Again, for however long he's gone for.]
I'll do that, yeah. Want me to come over and we can go look for him? After that whole mess with Tony, it might just be some kind of backlash problem.
[She shakes her head, even though Clint can't see it. It's not as though the suggestion doesn't have merit, but she can't even begin to make herself consider it right now. At least someone is.]
Well, maybe. But I doubt he's here now. He wouldn't stay away from me if he could help it, [ALL HISTORICAL (and semi-future) EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY,] but if he was laying low, it would be for a good reason, so.
[A laugh, only a little forced.] At least he'll probably have clothes. I don't know. I'll keep you posted.
That's on you to work out with them. But that's to the department direct, not to their lawyers or contract people. Guys there just want something new to do and they do it pretty well.
I don't see why not. My bow uses custom bolts cause the ones I'm used to in my world are cut an inch longer than the ones they made standard here. I can make my own, but contract got me a lifetime supply.
[How more custom could you get? Four inches shorter? Fletched only with the feathers of a golden eagle that was caught in a rainstorm and broke both it's wings and before it died in the arms of the one who found it somehow croaked out in English "give my feathers to the greatest archers alive that their arrows always reach their marks"?]
Better off asking them. I ain't ever needed more custom bolts than that.
You know anyone by the name of Kate? Young girl, dark hair. Knows a couple names of guys here. One of them's Billy Kaplan. And the network listing says there's a Loki, too, and she mentioned him.
[Someone's gonna bite back a surge of anger at that last name - his people from home know what happened of course, a couple of people here know he was mind-controlled, but it's still something he keeps locked away hard. Daryl hasn't gotten it yet.]
...I don't know her, but I've heard the name. [That kid Billy mentioned it when he'd shown up back in August.] Apparently it's that whole not-really-your-universe thing showing up again. Sounds like she's pretty close with the Clint she knows.

[There's a pause.]
Don't tell me you or the Doc is suddenly sprouting a third arm or something. [Like a second dick.]

Want me to come over anyway? Need any help with anything?

Actually, yeah. That would be... I could probably use the company if you don't mind just sitting around for a while. You have our address?

Tell 'em your specs, they're looking for a new project

I miss having a real custom, but I wouldn't have to sign some modeling contract, would I?

Think they'd do custom arrows? I've got most of the specs memorized but they need specialized equipment.
[And a license to practice demolitions. Which he has.]

They might wind up thinking I'm crazy or something but I'll ask.
So you've never shot a net arrow? Or a bola arrow? Lemme tell you, it's fun.
